Algeria Telecom and CATEL FIBROPTIC sign a strategic partnership agreement
Algeria Telecom and CATEL FIBROPTIC are proud to announce the signature, of a new strategic partnership agreement, this Thursday August,3rd 2023. This new agreement seeks to cover the manufacture and supply of fibre optic telecommunications cables (FTTH), in order to underpin Algeria Telecom's network development.
The signing ceremony was held at Algeria Telecom headquarters, attended by Mr Adel Bentoumi, President and CEO of Algeria Telecom, and Mr Salah Aliane, authorised representative from CATEL FIBROPTIC, together with a representative of ELEC EL DJAZAIR, an industrial holding company.
The purpose of this strategic agreement is to develop and extend Algeria Telecom's networks, both transport network and access network, to meet the constantly increasing connectivity needs of Algerians, organisations and institutions.
This partnership agreement will also reinforce the strong economic links between these two partners and will set a favourable environment to further investments within the telecommunications sector. Local manufacture of fibre optic cables, through an Algerian production unit, means a significant added value to our digital ecosystem.
This strategic alliance between these two major public companies reflects their commitment to promote local production and encourage digital development our country.
